Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate LTEdeployment and to optimise RF parameters that includesubchannel power, antenna down tilt, azimuth andbeam-width. An integer optimising based on geneticprogramming is developed by evaluating thesignal-to-interference plus noise ratio. The simulationuses a static model based on an OFDMA module designedfor a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network from 3GPP[TR36.942]. The site location and initial antennaparameters are taken from real GSM network alreadyoptimised for coverage. Our analysis shows that the LTEnetwork performance could be increased by more than45percent by adjusting both cells power and antennaparameters.
