Abstract
A new species belonging to the genus Helochares Mulsant, 1844 (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) is described on the basis of a single male specimen collected in Ordu province, Turkey. The species is described and an identification key to the species of the Helochares lividus group is provided. In addition, Helochares pallens MacLeay, 1825 and Hydrobius convexus Brullé, 1835 are recorded in Turkey for the first time. © TÜBİTAK.
