Abstract

Studies and investigations about Literature and Film in Spanish are going through a Golden Age. Throughout the whole century, there have been a lot of misunderstandings between writers and the professional cinema world, dissatisfied with the screen versions or their contracts as scriptwriters. In the second half of 20th Century a new movie writers generation arise for whom Film is source of inspiration for their literature; In some cases that work cannot be understood without the background of the film universe. Beyond these writers, are the writers-filmmakers, which means, creators who express themselves with the same simplicity and aesthetics entity in literary texts and films. The contraposition or rivalry between literature and film does not make sense in case of works in which there takes place a dialogue between different levels of discourse and in the opposition of realistic and fictitious worlds.
