Abstract

This study examines the role of Bukit Kubu in the tourism development of Berastagi, a popular destination in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Bukit Kubu, with its beautiful landscapes and ease of access, holds significant potential as a tourist attraction. The research focuses on understanding how Bukit Kubu contributes to tourism growth, the impact of tourism on local communities and the environment, and the challenges and opportunities faced in its development. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method, reviewing secondary sources to provide a comprehensive analysis. Findings highlight that Bukit Kubu plays a key role in driving tourism by attracting both local and international visitors, positively impacting the local economy while posing environmental sustainability challenges
