Abstract

The actual problem of the mining industry, requiring a practical solution, is to minimize the constant exposure to hazardous and harmful production factors. Among the key areas for JSC SUEK-Kuzbass development, one of the largest coal mining companies in Russia, the provision of a consistently high level of industrial safety and labor protection can be highlighted. The priority of creating and maintaining safe working conditions during the operation of hazardous production facilities has been and remains one of the most important aspects of preserving the life and health of employees. The article analyzes the statistical data of JSC SUEK-Kuzbass, on the basis of which the five most traumatic professions were identified, the main causes of their injuries are studied, the role of the “human factor” and the training lack of personnel in the event of accidents and accidents are assessed. As part of the implementation of the Vision Zero concept, general goals and objectives for the analysis and assessment of risks were considered in order to reduce the injury rates at the enterprises of JSC SUEK-Kuzbass. Recommendations were developed to improve the quality of training and professional development of JSC SUEK-Kuzbass personnel in the field of labor protection and industrial safety. The expected results from the implementation of the proposed risk-oriented approach are presented.
