Abstract

The method adopted in this case has allowed of relief of an acute intestinal obstruction and adequate removal of a carcinoma of the colon in stages. Moreover, the mobile pelvic colon will finally have such anchorage by adhesions to the deep aspect of the anterior abdominal wall that recurrence of the intussusception will be very improbable.
