Abstract

We report the first record of Rhinoclemmys punctularia (Daudin, 1801) for Maranhão state, northeast Brazil. This record extends the geographical distribution of the species in ca. 689 km to the east from Vila Nova Vida (Maranhão). © 2011 Check List and Authors.
