Abstract

In the search for new potential non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, some novel Mefenamic acid derivatives were synthesized and confirmed by spectroscopic data. The anti-inflammatory activities of these compounds were evaluated by the croton oil-induced ear oedema test in mice. The preliminary pharmacological evaluations indicate that these new compounds showed potent anti-inflammatory activities compare to control and Indomethacin groups.
