Abstract

The systematic state of the genus Oxya is in such disarray that it has almost impossible to identify specimens with stable names or in many cases, to separate one species from another. The present studies revealed the comparative external morphology of three grasshoppers species Oxya hyla hyla, O. velox and O. fuscovittata on the basis of seventeen different important characters out of which five characters introduced for the first time given here.
