Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine possible influences of sports practice on healthy parameters in federated extracurricular sports. A total of 297 participants (152 from hockey, 102 from soccer and 43 from athletics) were selected. The volume of physical activity practiced (VAFP) was evaluated through a sociodemographic questionnaire and adherence to the Mediterranean diet (MDD) through the KidMed questionnaire. As well as the cardiorespiratory attitude (AC) with the Course Navette test. The anthropometric measurements made are: body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist-thigh ratio (WTR) and percentage of body fat (% BF). Which were performed according to the protocol of the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). The results indicate significant differences in most variables. In view of these data, the subjects who practice federated sports obtain a higher VAFP or have a better MDD, highlighting that most of them have an optimal diet, a healthy BMI, ICC and ICM, where those who are overweight or obesity. In addition, it has an important practical application for the future design of activities in the different federated sports in order to better plan and guide the training loads in relation to the different levels of maturation of the athletes.
