Abstract

Neste trabalho foram analisadas as representações sociais de um grupo de estudantes do Ensino Médio de uma escola confessional católi ca sobre a origem dos seres vivos, com destaque para o surgimento do homem e da mulher. No estudo, utilizou-se a metodologia do discurso do sujeito coletivo (DSC). Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o grupo investigado tem fortes características religiosas, mas com abertura para as explicações científicas. Seus discursos, ao revelarem influências religiosas, não indicaram que estas eram obstáculos à apreensão dos conteudos ensi nados no âmbito das ciências. Mostraram, antes, sinais de deficiência na abordagem escolar do tema. Nas representações sociais dos estudantes, as influências familiares apareceram como mais relevantes do que aquelas provenientes de atividades escolares.This work analyses the social representation of high school students group in a catholic school about the origin os living things, high lighting the man and woman arising. Its was foccused trough the subject collective discourse (SCD) methodology. The results shows that the ana lyzed group has vigorous religious characteristics althrough opened to sci entific explication. Their discourses revealed religious influence, but it did not denote that those were obstacles for dread the teaching content the scientific scope. They showed, before, fault sign in approach school topic. In their social representations, the family's influence seems to be more important than the ones from school activities.
