Abstract

The trombiculine larvae possessing hamate chelicerae, elongate tarsalae I, and filamentous sensillae, and living as endodermal parasites of frogs, are assigned to an expanded Vercammenia. They are V. hendricksoni Audy and Nadchatram from Rana and Megophrys (Ranidae and Pelobatidae, Malaya); V. gloriosa sp.n. from Taudactylus (Leptodactylidae, Queensland); and V. yorkei (Sambon) comb. n. from Hyla (Hylidae, Brazil).
