Abstract

The process skills that need to be trained in the science lesson covers the basic process skills eg observe, measure, classify, communicate, recognize the relationship of space and time, as well as an integrated process skills eg, design and conduct experiments which includes preparing hypothesis, determining variables, preparing an operational definition, interpret data, analyze and synthesize data. The basic skills in the process approach is the observation, calculate, measure, classify, and make hypotheses. It can be concluded that the process skills in science teaching in elementary covering basic skills and integrated skills. Both of these skills can train students to discover and solve problems scientifically to produce products of science are facts, concepts, generalizations, legal and new theories.
