Abstract

The pollution of urban rainfall and runoff is an important issue that the society pays attention to at present. The low-impact development facilities play an important role in reducing rainwater runoff and controlling urban runoff pollution. This paper describes some typical measures of low impact development, such as biological retention pool, permeable pavement, grass gulch, green roof, as well as their reduction effects on runoff pollutants and rainwater runoff. The common models of low impact development and the research progress of low impact development models are introduced.
