Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job stress on job satisfaction in employees of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Blora Regency. The research was conducted in the Population and Civil Registration Office of Blora Regency with a total of 50 employees. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data collection tool used to measure job stress is the scale of aspects according to Parken and DeCotiis (1983) made in the form of 13 item statements. As for job satisfaction using The Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) in Spector (1997) made in 36 statements. This study uses a linear regression analysis technique with 1,264 results on the variable Job Stress (X) is positive value so it can be said that the variable Job Stress positively Job Satisfaction (Y). The results showed that job stress became a predictor of job satisfaction with a value of R² = 0.432, p < 0.05. That is job stress influences job satisfaction.
