Abstract
The purpose of Consumptive Use of Water and Irrigation Water Requirements is to serve as a foundation on which to build a more comprehensive and complete reference manual for engineers working on water resource management problems. It covers a broad range of topics, including the soil-plant atmosphere system, energy and water balance, evapotranspiration and potential evapotranspiration, engineering requirements for evapotranspiration, source of evapotranspiration data, evaluation of estimating methods, and the utilization of data.
