Abstract
People with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Philippines suffer severe job challenges, such as workplace inaccessibility, employer discrimination, and a lack of inclusive employment practices. A digital solution to address this gap is the promotion of inclusive hiring through technology-driven platforms. Inclusive employment platforms are designed to connect underrepresented job seekers with organizations committed to equity and diversity. Abilinet is an AI-powered employment network that integrates elements like mentorship programs, accessibility tools, inclusive environments, and real time application tracking to help link Filipino PWD job seekers with inclusive companies. The platform’s usability, impact and potential impact were evaluated by distributing a questionnaire utilizing the Six Thinking Hats approach to 59 respondents, including 31 employers and 28 PWD job seekers. Along with creating a Business Model Canvas that outline Abilinet’s essential elements, SWOT and TOWS matrix analysis were also carried out to arrive at strategies that addressed both internal and external factors. Results showed Abilinet’s involvement in inclusive hiring was strongly supported as over 96% of its respondents attested to its efficiency. Opportunities include improved AI optimization, employer engagement, and mentorship programs. Abilinet may establish itself as a premier platform for inclusive employment on a local and international level through strategic implementation and continuous development.
