The continuous and intense socio-economic changes have created the need to restructure the educational management, as well as the structures of the schools. New challenges have been introduced with the aim not only of improving educational outcomes, but also of adapting to the new needs of the community. In the educational field, the teacher is the mediator, the person who expresses the evolutions and transforms them into knowledge. This document reveals the participation of educational management and its relationship with teaching performance. Educational management is a crucial factor for teacher effectiveness. Some practices, in relation to the Leadership policy, are proven to contribute to empowerment.
