Abstract
Violence is intentional and unintentional actions that can harm a person's physical and psychological conditions. The violence that occurs often afflicts women and children. Based on the annual release issued by Komnas Perempuan in 2020, West Java Province occupies the second-highest position in Indonesia in cases of violence against women and children. Regional clustering that aims to map violence-prone areas is one of the efforts to assist the Government in reducing the number of cases against women and children in West Java and making it easier to handle cases of violence. This study uses the K-means algorithm to cluster areas prone to violence based on data from the Department of Empowerment, Women, Child Protection, and Family Planning in 2020-2021. The clustering results divide the area into three clusters. Cluster-0 includes 5 districts/ cities, cluster-1 includes 21 districts/cities, and cluster-2 includes 1 district. The clustering evaluation using the silhouette coefficient produces a value of 0.62, indicating that the clustering criteria are in medium structure.
