Abstract

 Chilli harvest season that causes the price is very cheap therefore farmers need a post-harvest chili handling technologies.Increasing the selling value of chili products can be increased by processing fresh chilli into powder.This  program is very possible to be applied for chilli farmers because the chillies developed are local chili friendly cultivation system. The technology is easy to apply, the use of simple tools and the cost is cheaper.Through this program has educated farmers on the importance of agribusiness technology inputs in the commercial processing of chili in the scale of farmers as a source of additional income. This program aims to empower farmers independently in handling post-harvest chili and processing that is worth selling, improving the skills of farmers in the production of chilli powder, applying technology development of chili agribusiness.Method of implementation of this activity is Community services,Training, Demonstration  and Development.The results showed that there were 5 female farmers skilled in the processing of fresh chilli into chilli powder, packing and marketing. Keywords: agribusiness,chili,empowerment,processing,technology
