Abstract
Shallots are one of the leading vegetable commodities in Indonesia and are used as a seasoning. In this study to determine the interaction of the dose of chicken manure with the dose of KNO3 on the growth and production of shallots of the header variety, to determine the effect of each dose of chicken manure and KNO3 on the growth and production of shallots of the header variety. This research was conducted in Saruran Village, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency. It took place from March to May 2022. This study used a two-factor factorial Randomised Group Design (RGD), namely the dose of chicken manure (10, 20, and 30 Ton/Ha) and the dose of KNO3 fertilizer (450, 500, 550 Kg/Ha). The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers per clump, wet weight per plot, dry weight per plot, and production per hectare. The results showed that the interaction between chicken manure and KNO3 fertilizer has not shown a significant effect on the growth and production of shallot crown varieties. The application of chicken manure at a dose of 20 tonnes/ha had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height (27.09 cm), and number of leaves (26.68 strands) and tended to give better results than the other treatments in the parameters of the number of bulbs per clump (10.31), dry weight of bulbs (388.00 gr/plot) and production per hectare (3.88 tonnes/ha). Similarly, the application of KNO3 fertilizer at a dose of 500 kg/ha had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height (27.03 cm), number of leaves (27.50 strands), and wet tuber weight (368.44 gr/acre) and tended to give better results than the other treatments, namely on the parameters of the number of tubers per clump (10.31), dry weight of tubers (388.00 gr/acre) and per hectare production (3.88 tonnes/ha).
