Abstract

50 % of brain-damaged patients present with impaired neurovisual functions. This article presents Neuro Vision Training (NVT), the main functions of a new, AI-based software. These enable the diagnosis and therapy of neurovisual functions utilizing rapid eye movements (REM, saccades), slow eye movements, sensitivity in the visual field (contrast, color, movement), visual exploration, reading, visual multitasking, and working memory. NVT can be used by therapists in a clinic or therapy office as well as by patients at home. It enables hybrid therapy (practice and home) of neurovisual disorders and achieves a higher therapy intensity. At the same time, it mitigates the shortage of specialists, especially in rural areas. Numerous application examples demonstrate the benefits of the program in neurovisual rehabilitation.
