Thin-Layer Rapid Use Epicutaneous Patch Test (T.R.U.E. Test) for Confirmation of Contact Sensitization

Abstract

The patch test is considered the gold standard for the diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis. The Thin-Layer Rapid Use Epicutaneous Patch Test (T.R.U.E. Test) is a patch test approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration containing 35 preloaded, ready-to-apply allergens and allergen mixes. Our objective is to provide a comprehensive review of the commercially available patch test kit.
