Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the processing of printed journals in the library of psychology at the Gadjah Mada University. The research method used qualitative research approach to field research. Results showed library faculty of Psychology UGM manage print journals by manual and electronic. Steps are done in the processing of journal started from the examination and granting of library stamp, recording, inputting, binding, labeling and preparation of the collection in the shelf. The Problems facing libraries in the processing of print journals is still a large number of collections of printed journals that are not yet input into Library System Information (SIPUS Simaster) and does not include the second name of journal and does not write the abstract. Library Faculty of psychology should add technical personnel or librarian to input the identity of journals that have not been incorporated into SIPUS Simaster and re-edit a journal of identity that has been already inputted by completing the journal identity of the second author's name as well as abstract.
