Abstract
Industry4.0, where smart robots are present in all areas of our lives and dominate systems that move from workforce to technology control, will lead to the transition from jobs with low level of competence to a workforce structure with higher skill and education level. Recent researches show that as a result of this rapidly advancing technology, the librarian profession is among the professions that will be up in the near future. In this study, the possible effects of artificial intelligence and robotic systems on the librarianship/information and document management profession were evaluated, taking into account the findings of a study conducted by researchers at the University of Oxford in 2017.
