Mekanisme Pengupahan Pada Pelaku Umkm Batik Tulis Di Kecamatan Tanjung Bumi Kabupaten Bangkalan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the wage mechanism for hand-drawn batik craftsmen in Tanjung Bumi District, Bangkalan Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews and documentation studies. Purposive technique as the selection of informants with MSME owners and batik craftsmen as informants. The results of the study indicate that the mechanism of remuneration for hand-drawn batik SMEs consists of giving jobs, contracts, carrying out work and giving wages. The wage system for batik craftsmen uses a unit yield system, in which the more batik that is done, the more wages they receive. The amount of wages is determined based on the batik motif. The rougher the batik motifs, the lower the wages, on the contrary, the finer the batik motifs, the higher the wages of craftsmen. Wages are given when the work has been completed with payment according to the agreement at the beginning before the work process. The wages given are only wages for their work, no wages as a substitute for transportation or other benefits. Keywords:
