Abstract
The use of wastewaters in fertigation of crops may enable increased productivity and quality of harvested products, and promote improvement in soil characteristics, however, incorrect use can have deleterious effects on both the soil and culture. The objective of this study was to evaluate the electrical conductivity (EC) and pH in soil solution at different depths and at the rainy and drought seasons in a Red-Yellow soil, when was applied wastewater from dairy cattle (WDC). The experiment was conducted in the Agroecological Production Integrated System, located in the Seropédica County, State of Rio de Janeiro. In the experimental area there is a fig crop (Ficus carica L.), variety Roxo de Valinhos. Different WDC doses were applied to the soil as a source of nitrogen fertilization (T1-0% of WDC and additional fertilizers with castor press cake, T2-50% of the recommended dose of N supplied by the WDC and the other 50% with the castor press cake, T3-75% of the recommended dose of N supplied by the WDC and the other 25% provided by the castor press cake, T4-100% of recommended dose of N provided by the WDC). In the experimental plots were installed soil solution extractors at 0.20 and 0.60 m depth. The results show that the treatment T1 has a higher soil solution EC than the T4; there was no statistical difference between the values of soil solution EC obtained at the different depths ; the soil solution EC is higher during the dry season; the treatment T4 had the highest pH value; the pH value in the soil solution is greater at the depth of 0.60 m; in the rainy season is observed a higher pH value in the soil solution.
