Abstract
A lateral cervical thymic cyst in a 19 year old male is reported. Sixty-six such documented cases have appeared in the literature, most of them in the past eighteen years. The clinical and histologic differentiation of these masses from the more common branchial cleft cysts and cystic hygromas is emphasized. Successful surgical therapy is the choice in these cases.
