Abstract

Understanding images: How to see what sees us?, book edited by Suzana Kilpp and Gustavo Fischer, brings together part of the papers presented during the 11th Image in Communication Week, held in May 2013 at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos), São Leopoldo / RS. It is an attempt to map some of the new imagistic practices and new bases of operation of the technical image in contemporary culture.
