Abstract
This research was carried out in São Mateus , state of Espírito Santo , Brazil, aiming to analyse the variation of elements or chemical compounds of industrial cassava effluents, concerning the period of sample collecting during monitoring and respective tests, running from industrial output to final store. The method consisted of semestral sample collecting during drought and rain seasons in six different spots adopting the São Mateus river water as test witness according to its industrial use and production of cassava starch. The parameters vary from spot to spot according to temperature, solar irradiation and collecting level, mainly related to organic compounds (Biochemical oxygen demand, Chemical oxygen demand and diluted oxygen), which may vary among different places within the same monitoring spot.
