Abstract

Economic growth is one indicator of the success of development in each region. High economic growth has an impact on income inequality. Inequality of income has become an important issue for the development of individual countries. The main problem in income distribution is the occurrence of differences in income distribution. Inequality of income is a measure of the distribution of people's income in an area or region within a certain period. Higher income inequality means that income distribution in the community is more equitable. This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, unemployment rates, fiscal decentralization, and minimum wages to the level of income distribution inequality in DIY in 2012 - 2018. The analytical method that will be used to analyze this research is to use a panel data regression model using secondary data . The results of this study indicate the level of open unemployment and district/city minimum wages have a positive and significant effect on the level of income distribution inequality, while economic growth and fiscal decentralization do not affect the level of income distribution inequality.
