Abstract

The study of all species of these two families known from Kenya yielded the following results: Afrobisium Beier is considered as synonymous to Microbisium Chamb., Microbisium perpusillum Beier as subjectiv junior synonym of Microbisium dogieli (Red.). Negroroncus longedigitatus Beier has to be omitted from the fauna of Kenya. Six new species are described in the genus Negroroncus Beier, the new genus Afroroncus is erected for two new species. Neobisium (N.) muscorum (Leach) is recorded from this country.
