Abstract

The analysis of 6,180 documents produced and published on Brazilian bibliometrics up to December 2018 were realized. To collect the documents, titles, keywords, and abstracts were searched using different languages and Boolean combinations of documents indexed in bibliographic databases. These documents used 6,307 distinct keywords, of which 4,215 were used only once and one-word (Scientific production) 1,054 times. The analysis of the keywords identified in the 6,180 documents was done using the MPA (Associated Words Method) package from R programming language. The co-word analysis as a technique allowed to identify the thematic concerns of Brazilian bibliometrics. A maturing field of study clearly linked to the field of information science, which has its center of analysis in indexing and documentary language. It also identified the central subject of management and accounting research with poor links to marketing and science & technology.
