Abstract

A novel method based on Nd:YVO4 laser feedback is presented to realize the direct measurement of remote small vibration. By using the heterodyne phase measurement technology and the laser frequency-shifted feedback technology has not only high resolution and but also high precision. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the system is tested, and then the remote voice vibration is measured. Lastly, the reliability and measurement range of the system are analyzed. The impact of external environment on system is down to 50 nm at the distance of 15.7 m by using a filter to filter out the low frequency noise.
