Abstract
Fatigue is a risk that can cause a decrease in health status. The use of high heels and working period can cause work fatigue. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between high heels and length of service on work fatigue in Sales Promotion Girl (SPG) beauty at Department Store X Malang city. The research design uses an analytical method with a Cross Sectional approach. The sample is 47 respondents with total sampling technique. The instrument uses a questionnaire. Analysis of the results using the Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that beauty SPGs who used high heels with medium height experienced light work fatigue as much as 30, moderate work fatigue as many as 11, and heavy work fatigue as many as 1. 1 moderate work fatigue and 1 heavy work fatigue 1. Beauty SPG with new tenure category experienced light work fatigue as much as 25, moderate work fatigue as much as 8, and heavy work fatigue 2. Beauty SPG with new working period category experienced mild work fatigue as much as 25, moderate work fatigue as much as 8 and heavy work fatigue as much as 2. The category of long working period experienced light work fatigue as much as 8, moderate work fatigue as much as 4. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test the relationship between high heels and work fatigue is 0.000 < 0.05 (α), which means there is a relationship. Working period with work fatigue is 0.936 < 0.05 (α), which means there is no relationship. Suggestions to SPG beauty use a heel pad to reduce the risk of joint injury, and the occurrence of pain in the legs and fatigue.
