ANÁLISE DE CONGLOMERADOS DO NÍVEL DE TRANSPARÊNCIA PÚBLICA E INDICADORES SOCIOECONÔMICOS DOS MUNICÍPIOS PERNAMBUCANOS

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the socioeconomic characteristics of the municipalities of Pernambuco in relation to the level of transparency of the information on municipal public management published by the governments in the electronic portals. In order to achieve the proposed objective, a level of transparency of municipal public management was verified, based on the Municipal Transparency Index, published by the Court of Audit of Pernambuco, based on applicable Brazilian legislation on disclosure and access to public information. The total of 181 municipalities in Pernambuco were analyzed through the analysis of conglomerates, considering eight social and economic indicators with the potential to describe the level of transparency of local management. The evidence points to common characteristics between the social variables Municipal Human Development Index and Firjan Index of Municipal Development, Urbanization and the levels of transparency in the dissemination of information on public management in the municipalities.
