Abstract
Bisphosphonates (BPs) are first-line drugs in the management of osteoporosis. BPs' significant efficacy in the prevention of vertebral, non-vertebral, and hip fractures has been proven. BPs are now available as an injection as well as as oral administration in Japan. This review gives an overview of the efficacy as well as the clinical issues of the bisphosphonates.
