Especificidades do tratamento de mulheres usuárias de crack: interface com direitos humanos

Abstract

O consumo de crack por mulheres é um problema de política pública cujo tratamento envolve desafios. Objetivou-se descrever as especificidades do tratamento de mulheres usuárias de crack, discutindo sua interface com os direitos humanos. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo e descritivo com 36 mulheres em tratamento hospitalar por uso de crack que responderam a uma entrevista semiestruturada. Foi identificada predominância de mulheres solteiras, negras, de escolaridade e classe econômica baixa e que já eram mães. A falta de motivação e o preconceito dificultaram a procura por tratamento. Dentre os principais motivadores, destacou-se a possibilidade de se aproximar do filho, sendo esta uma reflxão a ser discutida. Portanto, enfatiza-se a importância de políticas públicas e tratamentos que contemplem as especificidades das mulheres, oportunizando o direito de saúde qualificada. Crack addiction in women is a public policy issue and its treatment involves challenges. The objective was to describe treatment specifiities for crack addiction in women, discussing their interface with human rights. This is a quantitative descriptive study, with 36 women who answered a semi-structured interview while they were hospitalized for crack addiction treatment. We identifid predominance of women who are single, black, low educated, low income, and mothers. Lack of motivation and prejudice inhibited the search for treatment. Among the main motivators, we draw attention to the possibility of approaching their children, which is an issue to be discussed. Threfore, we emphasize the importance of public policies and treatments that consider women's specifiities, providing the right to qualifid health care.
