Abstract

The catalytic performance of silica-based supported ionic liquid-phase (SILP) Rh-sulfoxantphos/[BMIM][C8H17OSO3] catalysts with different compositions, i.e. type of support, ionic liquid content and ligand-to-metal ratio, has been examined for continuous-flow gas-phase propene hydroformylation. The key parameters determining the reaction selectivity and long-term stability of the catalysts have been revealed by combining the catalytic results with FT-IR spectroscopy and ammonia-TPD measurements.
