Abstract

Abstract Recognition of Farsi/Persian handwrittennumeral characters has been the focus ofstudy recently andhas many applications such as postal code reading and checkprocessing.One important step in any recognition system isfeature extraction. We propose to use a smallset includingonly 20 domain specific features which are simple tounderstand, easy toimplement and extracted in a way similarto how humans discriminate digits.
