Abstract
A series of amidoalkyl naphthols were prepared in high yields using various aldehydes and urea or amides. The reaction was catalysed by Cu 1.5PMo12O40 (CuPMo) and Cu1.5PW 12O40 (CuPW) and conducted in molten tetrabutylammonium bromide as an ionic liquid. © Indian Academy of Sciences.
