Abstract

The Upper Cretaceous radiolarians from the Izumi Group in Shikoku and W Awaji Island, SW Japan, have been investigated. The Izumi Group in the area forms a syncline with an E-W trending axis plunging to the E. The Izumi Group in the area is divided into 3 stratigraphically successive radiolarian assemblage zones: the Dictyomitra koslovae, the Amphipyndax tylotus, and the Pseudotheocampe abschnitta Assemblage Zones in ascending order. -from English summary
