A fixed point theorem for generalizedweak contractions

Abstract

A fixed point theorem for a generalized weak contractive map in a metric space is proven by generalizing some recent results of -Dorić [4] Theorem 2.2., Zhang and Song [30] Corollary 2.2. and others. The result is illustrated by examples.
