Conocimiento y emoción

Abstract

Las emociones han sido tradicionalmente consideradas por la filosofía, un obstáculo para la obtención de conocimiento confiable. La falta de valor epistémico atribuida a lo emocional, su pasividad, junto con la naturalización de la distribución sexista que considera la razón una cualidad masculina y opuesta a la feminiza-ción de las emociones, obstaculizó históricamente el acceso de las mujeres a la ciencia y al conocimiento abstracto, así como a los más altos grados de educación superior y actividades de alta responsa-bilidad social. En la filosofía del conocimiento contemporánea, la interfaz entre conocimiento y emoción recibe una intensa atención, sobre todo por parte de las corrientes cognitivas. Se mencionarán modelos dife-rentes de vincular conocimiento y emoción, destacando el interés de revisar el carácter dicotòmico de este par de conceptos.Emotions have traditionally been considered by philosophy, as an obstacle in the obtaining of a fiable knowledge. The lack of epistemic value given to the emotional, its passivity, and the naturalization of the sexist distribution that takes reason as a masculine quality which is opposed to emotions considered as femenine, historically prevented the access of women to science and abstract knowledge, as well as the highest levels of superior education and activities of high social responsibility. In the contemporary philosophy of knowledge, the interface between knowledge and emotion receives an intensive attention , specially from the cognitive theories. Different models of the relation between knowledge and emotion will be mentioned , emphasizing the interest of reviewing the dichotomic character of this pair of concepts.
