Abstract
We discuss the chronology of the incorporation of North and Central Chile into Tawantinsuyu. Based on the widespread view that Rowe's 1470 AD proposal does not match with the archaeological data, we analyze an extensive database of 14C and thermoluminescence dates and generate an accumulated probability of inca's chronology in Chile. Our results indicate that this event occurred almost 100 years before 1470 AD, although differences between regions analyzed exist.
