The RSG-GAS, since it's commissioning, until now, has been operating for 30 years so its safety neutronic parameter is necessary to be evaluated. Various research activities related to the routine operation, reactor safety and utilization had been conducted. The analysis and management of the reactivity magnitude which supports the safety operation is necessary to be done because the it affects the design, control and operation schedule. The reactivity magnitude could be determined from the results of control rod reactivity measurement and refueling experiment in the core. The control rod reactivity measurement that conducted at every beginning of the cycle (in cold and clean reactor condition, xenon-free, using compensation method), produced the control rod reactivity that can be used to calculate other reactivity values such as core excess, shutdown margin and total control rods reactivity.
