Currently, the creation of OERs (Open Educational Resources) is part ofthe teachers' daily work, being a main issue the evaluation of thequality and web accessibility characteristics for guaranteeing the OERmeet the special needs and preferences of all learners, including thosein the margin. According to ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development,Implementation and Evaluation) model, the creation process of an OERfollows five steps which finish with the evaluation step. Although, there are different approaches based on the evaluation of OER, many ofthem coincide with the idea that quality and web accessibility areimportant aspects to be considered with the purpose of guarantying thatOERs meet the user requirements but also for eliminating at leastsensorial barriers in the content for people with disabilities. In thisstudy an evaluation strategy used to support teachers in the evaluationprocess of OER was tested. The evaluation strategy was supported in ourQWAE (Quality and Web Accessibility Evaluation) tool. This tool consistsof two evaluation instruments: a) The QI (Quality Instrument) based onthe LORI (Learning Object Review Instrument) and b) our own WAI (WebAccessibility Instrument). With this in mind, there are two primary aimsof this study: the first one is to introduce a tool which has beendeveloped in order to allow teachers to evaluate quality and webaccessibility of an OER in the ATutor LMS (Learning Management System). The second one is to present the preliminary results obtained from avalidation scenario in which teachers evaluated OERs by using this tool.
