Abstract
With aging and postpartum sequelae, female pelvic floor dysfunction (FPFD) has become a prevalent issue that significantly impacts the quality of life for older women in China. In collaboration with medical experts and older female patients, we developed a serious exergame based on mixed reality (MR) technology to assist with pelvic floor muscle (PFM) rehabilitation. The game design incorporates physical exercise plans with platform-jumping gamified mechanics, utilizing visual algorithms to recognize the players leg movements and provide real-time feedback within a virtual environment. Although we have not yet conducted final user experiments, the feedback from experts who reviewed our prototype indicates its strong potential for improving user motivation and training effectiveness. Future plans include collaborative testing with real patients to further validate the game's usability and its impact on promoting long-term training.
