Abstract

Rare or unusual bacteria in blood cultures can be a diagnostic challenge. Here, we report a case of Kalamiella piersonii, a novel gram-negative Enterobacterales belonging to the proposed genus Kalamiella gen nov in the Erwiniaceae family.
