Abstract

This study discusses the importance of crisis communication for the Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah organization to have an effective crisis communication strategy to increase organizational resilience and strengthen organizational sustainability in the future. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design, conducting interviews with the Chairman of the Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah Kota Bandar Lampung. The study found that crisis communication is crucial for the organization to respond to crises effectively. The organization must have a clear and structured crisis communication plan, as well as the ability to respond to crises quickly and accurately. Effective communication can reduce the impact of crises, maintain stakeholder trust, and improve organizational resilience. The study also showed that the organization has a high level of resilience in dealing with crises, with the ability to adapt, identify, respond, and learn from crises. The study can also be analyzed using organizational communication, trust, and resilience theories, which highlight the importance of effective communication, building trust, and having supporting factors such as good leadership, adequate resources, member commitment, and a wide network to enhance organizational resilience. Overall, the handling of crises within the Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah organization is good, and resilience can be achieved with supporting factors within the organization.
